How it works
Every night the radar measures which Google searches grew the most per country (DataForSEO, with Google Ads volumes over 25 months), checks with daily data whether they are still rising today, and adds what people type into Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo, Reddit and Hacker News wishes, today's trends, book and app charts, and a calendar of buying moments. AI sorts it into categories and removes sports, news and celebrities.
The forecast: one learning model, trained on four years of monthly searches for 4,514 searches in the three countries at once, looks at the pattern of earlier years, today's level and how similar searches behaved, and gives every search a chance that it will be at least 40% higher than now. A rise only shows when that chance is 70% or more. Tested honestly (learned on data up to April 2026, checked against May to September): 9 in 10 predicted rises came true and rose 40% or more (a random search: 16%, our earlier method: 66%), and the chance shown matched what happened. "What just rose keeps rising" was right only 1 in 7 times, so the radar does not rely on that. One-time events of last year, like an election or a single tournament, are left out. With five years of Google Trends it also shows whether the rise came back every year since 2021. For searches that react to the weather (fans, heaters, umbrellas) it uses the measured weather of the months Google has not released yet, which cuts the error by about 6%. School holidays and new rules from the news (with the headline as source) show up under Coming up. Weather: NASA POWER and MET Norway (CC BY 4.0); places: © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Then it grades itself: yesterday's top picks are checked again, and categories and sources that hold up count more the next day. Words that keep turning out to be noise are filtered automatically, and so are topics that visitors mark as not real demand. Ideas people check and results from our own campaigns count too.
For teams and AI assistants: use the radar from your own tools.
